Owner Holly Davis says it best:
“I guess my vision of the house is really what it turned out to be – we wanted to keep the integrity of the old house but modernize it and bring it back to a new glory – keeping as many of the old historical rooms, parts, fixtures, doors, etc as possible! I had had my eye on this house for as long as I’ve lived in Pinehurst and always thought it could be special….my good friend Lisa Youngclaus called me around two years ago to say, “Your house is for sale”…”
While “Ailsa House” presented a lot of challenges, requiring more upgrades than the new owners had predicted, WILL HUNTLEY and his team applied their signature detailed, organized and methodical approach to keep the new owners informed and realistic about the changes needed.
As Holly Davis continues:
“There were lots of challenges! The house was in worse shape than we thought. All the trim and ceilings were vinyl, plumbing and electrical were ancient. We were hoping we wouldn’t have to replace everything – but we really had to do this right. We ultimately replaced or rebuilt all the windows, ceilings, trim and stucco. Once we started we knew we had to do it right!…..and HUNTLEY did a fabulous job.”
